New To Amazing Radio This Week

Monday, December 23rd, 2013

Updated every Wednesday, our latest playlist keeps you up to date with what you can expect to hear over the coming week. Here is an analysis of the latest new additions.

harts guitar 576

The first of several new additions to our most recent playlist is solo artist Harts. Recorded in his bedroom studio in Melbourne, Leavin It All Behind recently won the Audition poll here at amazing. Having been described as a “one-man music-making machine from Melbourne, Australia”, Harts has brought us much excitement over the past few days with this track and its close resemblance to Daft Punk.

Barnaby is back with his latest track Bored. This Southampton based producer and songwriter had previously impressed us with his single Fresh Made Lemonadewhich topped our Audition poll back in September. Reaching our C-List, Bored offers an array of soulful vocals, accompanied by the continuing addition of alternative guitar instrumentals with a flourishing R&B style.

Cathedrals-Band-Photo 220

Introducing Cathedrals now, a new addition to this week’s playlist with UnboundThis track offers such promise, and it would appear you all agree, given that it’s received over 250,000 online plays in just two months. With its stunning melodies and intertwining electronic foregrounding, we have high expectations for this band here at Amazing Radio.

Also on the C-List this week, you’ll find the most recent track from Joanna Gruesome, with their traditional punk rock, making for a melodic addition in Madison

As well as the familiar West-Midlands based five piece band, Midnight Bonfires with their track Someone Else.

Another familiar group, No Ceremony/// teamed up with the highly reputable James Vincent McMorrow to produce their stunning new track AwayFromHere. Having already earned a well-deserved reputation from their peers, including support slots with both Foals and The Pixies, we think blend of falsetto and electronic work found within the track is magical.

Norma Jean Martine

Next up, Norma Jean Martine with her addition No Gold, which has already received plays via Baylen Leonard. You’ll also find punk-rock band Solids with their melancholic, driving rock track Traces, which will be featured on their new debut LP Blame Confusion, to be released 18th February 2014.

Having been awarded the Crowley Cracker last week on Gary Crowley’s show here at amazing, London duo Thief came in for their first ever radio interview to talk to Gary about their success of 2013 and their future plans. Friend Loveronly their first upload, has caused quite the stir here, making them a candidate for success in the coming year.
