Festival goers with expectations as high as the sun’s temperature (for that day anyway) hopped on London’s overground to Hackney Central last Saturday – VISIONS was in town!
So much more than a bog-standard festival, VISIONS promised a dog show, black metal yoga, street food and a whole host of other weird and wonderful stalls, stages and showcases all guaranteed to make your weekend one to never forget – and wow, did they deliver! From the beauty of Netil rooftop bar to the dangerously copious amount of craft beers for sale to the unbeatable line-up – VISIONS proved itself as the festival for festival connoisseurs for the fourth year running.
Highlights included Gengahr performing music from their new album (and yes, it’s good and yes, they’re still pushing their sound to beautiful heights), Young Fathers’ headline performance (top tip: this band will never let you down live), the craft beer (can’t remember the names, had too much, was too nice, soz) and the beyond friendly crowd. A genuinely nice bunch of lads those VISIONS fans, shout out to the girl who pulled us to the front of Gengahr.
